Lab Test Against Legionella Bacteria
AIRCONcare™ has been tested in the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre and found to eliminate 99.99% of the bacteria when exposed to it. They can be found in air conditioning systems and other wet cooling places. Legionnaires’ Disease is a form of Pneumonia caused by the bacterium Legionella Pneumophila. This disease can often be fatal. Infection occurs as a result of inhalation of water droplets containing the bacterium.
Legionellosis is a potentially fatal infectious disease caused by Gram negative, aerobicbacteria belonging to the genus Legionella.[1][2] Over 90% of legionellosis cases are caused byLegionella pneumophila, a ubiquitous aquatic organism that thrives in temperatures between 25 and 45 °C (77 and 113 °F), with an optimum around 35 °C (95 °F).
